Spirit of TAC Through accreditation, TAC is committed to partnering with educational institutions to ensure students receive a quality education that meets the standards of Canada's engineering technology profession.
TAC national accredited programs are evaluated by a trained and skilled audit team. Selection The audit team is selected from the auditor registry based on subject matter expertise, availability, location and avoidance of any potential conflict of interest. The educational institution reviews the resumes of audit team members.
Audit Team Composition The audit team consists of a Lead Auditor (who may be a subject matter expert) and two auditors who are generally both subject matter experts (SME). The objective is a well-balanced team of audit experience and subject matter experience. If necessary, an additional SME may be called in to serve as a resource to the audit team at the discretion of the Lead Auditor and in consultation with the Executive Director. Up to two Auditors-in-Training may be selected. At least one of the three audit team members must be from the province, and one from outside the province, in which the educational institution is located. Qualifications
